Biography
Dr. Suryanarayana Murty Topella, widely known as Ganita Avadhani, is a distinguished mathematics educator, author, and performer of the ancient Indian art of Ganita Avadhanam. With qualifications including MSc, MEd, MPhil, and PhD, he has dedicated his life to sharing his extraordinary mathematical abilities with the world.
His journey began in the classrooms of Andhra Pradesh, where he quickly established himself as an innovative and inspiring teacher. Over his illustrious career, he has performed 320+ Ganita Avadhanams across 15+ states in India, captivating audiences with remarkable feats of mental mathematics.
Dr. Topella's dedication to mathematics education has earned him numerous prestigious awards including the District Best Teacher Award, the State Best Teacher Award from the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and the National Best Innovative Award from NCERT in New Delhi. His work has been featured in 1000+ newspaper and media appearances.
Beyond traditional teaching, he innovatively combines art with mathematics through his unique performance "Dance a Magic Square", which inculcates mathematical concepts through artistic expression.
